Today's Arkansas LDP rate for soybeans is: |
0¢ |
Soybean Comment
Soybeans edged higher after reversing early declines. Most factors, fundamental and technical pointed lower, but somehow soybeans continued their upward trend. That was a strong showing that suggests the market may still move higher. However, the upside would appear limited from this point.

Today's Arkansas LDP rate for corn is: |

Grain Comment
Wheat futures were lower. A disappointing export report showed 18.7 million bushels sold last week. The trade was expecting a larger total. A large, surprising sale to Iran was announced this morning, providing some support.
Corn slipped lower following a government estimate out of Argentina that put production higher than recent private projections. There is growing concern that some corn acres are moving to beans so down side should be limited as long as beans are moving higher.

Cotton Comment
Cotton closed lower with expiring March down sharply. Growing world stocks are a major burden, but downside is limited as long as China is in a stocks building mode. Their stated goal is 30 million bales and they have a ways to go.

Rice Comment
Rice took another hard lick closing sharply lower and retracing any recent gains. Poor export sales continue to plague the market and there may not be any substantial upside even with smaller U.S. plantings in 2012.
