Today's Arkansas LDP rate for soybeans is: |

Soybean Comment
Soybeans were mixed with old crop posting big gains and more distant contracts slightly lower. Exports for current crop were light but good for 2013/14 crop. A smaller Brazilian crop was indicated in reports today, a result dry conditions in some areas and wet harvest conditions in others. Movement of the Brazilian crop is taking on nightmare proportions as the problems are extending to ground movement where trucks are report backed up almost 40 miles in one area.

Grain Comment
Wheat retraced a portion of recent losses and closed with solid gains. The market corrected after being technically oversold .
Corn was mixed with A stronger wheat market actually limiting declines. Nearby contracts closed a little higher, despite very poor exports. New crop December remains under pressure from potential large 2013 plantings.

Rice Comment
Rice made modest gains as the market retraced a small portion of recent losses ahead of the March report. Export & domestic use continue to be very good. Milling schedules appear to be filled through April. The question is how producers will react to planting this year. U. S. 9stocks will tighten & more rice acres could result.
