Soybean Comment
Soybeans continued the recent decline pressured by good crop prospects in South America. Potential for increased U. S. plantings added to the negative undertone.

Today's Arkansas LDP rate for corn is: |

Grain Comment
Wheat futures are attempting to stabilize today in reaction to stronger than expected export sales. U.S. wheat is very competitive on the global market at these price levels. July is trying to establish support near $7.30.
Corn was slightly lower, marking the 11th straight day that corn has declined. Good crops in Brazil and weak demand for U S corn have added to technical selling that has carried the market below key support.

Cattle Comment
Cattle futures were mixed at midday after opening with huge losses. April moved to a new 7 ½ month low this morning, and could see another leg down if that low of $123.47 doesn’t hold. Concerns about demand and weak packer margins are adding pressure.

Hogs Comment
Hog futures were posting big losses at midday, with the exception of expiring February. The market is focused on negative packer margins and further declines in product values. The market is oversold, however, so a bounce could come at any time.
