WASHINGTON – U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor recently released an edition of “Pryor-Side Chats” that highlights Arkansas Farm Bureau’s efforts to recruit young adults into careers in agriculture, an industry that contributes around $17 billion to Arkansas’ economy.
For this installment, Pryor visited with State Young Farmers & Ranchers Committee members Elizabeth Walker of Horatio and Trent Dabbs of Stuttgart about the farm bill, the challenges of starting a farm or ranch, and how to best engage young adults in the field of agriculture.
