AGCAST: A Champion Looks to the Future

Kaylie Stone of Gurdon has grown up around farm animals. Her father Stacey recently retired from teaching as a vocational-agriculture instructor and FFA Advisor and, along with her mother, they raised Kaylie to show animals at county, state and national events. Kaylie began showing goats at the age of 7 and later added lambs, hogs, rabbits and steers. Her drive and competitive spirit have led her to raise numerous grand and reserve champion animals. She has set a standard for other young people to aspire to. Kaylie recently graduated from Gurdon High School and in this edition of Arkansas AgCast, she and her dad sat down with us to discuss the reasons behind her success and how 11 years of raising, training and showing her animals has prepared her for adulthood and a successful career in agriculture.
