Many cattle producers in the state know her from her successful work on the state's Beef Quality Assurance Program. Her expertise is now part of a national group advising trainers on how to conduct fair farm animal welfare audits.

At the age of just six, Huck Plyler, the son of Caleb and Briana Harris-Plyler, began putting together care packages for members of the military who were deployed in foreign countries. Now 10 years old, Huck has sent out more than 700 packages and continues his work to bring smiles to the faces of our military men and women.

Amanda Williams, ArFB coordinator for the State Women's Leadership Committee, presented the 2020 Women's Leadership Outstanding Committee Award to Regina Oliver, chair of the Scott County committee Dec. 16. Oliver and her committee were thrilled to be recognized for their creative efforts to educate students at county schools about agriculture virtually during the Covid-19 pandemic.
