The Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation has announced Jake Cartwright has joined the Commodity and Regulatory Affairs Department as a director of Commodity Activities and Economics. In his role, he will assume duties and responsibilities associated with the Aquaculture, Dairy and Forestry Divisions.

Jeff Pitchford has been named as Arkansas Farm Bureau’s executive vice president. The organization’s board of directors voted Thursday to elevate Pitchford to the organization’s top position, replacing Warren Carter, who previously announced his retirement, effective May 31.

The 75th annual Arkansas Farm Family of the Year program has named the 2022 County Farm Families of the Year. The families will be visited by a set of judges to determine eight District Farm Families of the Year, which will be announced June 14. The state Farm Family of the Year will be announced in December at the Farm Family of the Year luncheon.

Warren Carter, executive vice president for the Arkansas Farm Bureau Federation, has announced plans to retire, effective May 31. He announced his decision to the organization’s board of directors at its most recent meeting.
